The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) announced that it will operate an official away cheering squad for the 2026 World Baseball Classic (WBC) First Round games against Japan and Chinese Taipei, scheduled to be held this March at the Tokyo Dome.

The KBO has secured designated away cheering sections for the two key First Round matchups—Japan and Chinese Taipei—which are critical for advancement to the next stage. In accordance with Tokyo Dome cheering regulations, fans will be allowed standing cheers and coordinated chant performances, creating a unified and energetic support atmosphere for the Korean national baseball team.

Recruitment for the away cheering squad will begin on Monday, February 9 at 11:00 AM (KST) and will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis through the KBO’s official website.

Two travel package options will be offered:

• 2-night, 3-day package (March 6–8), including admission to the Korea vs. Japan game
• 3-night, 4-day package (March 6–9), including admission to both the Korea vs. Japan and Korea vs. Chinese Taipei games

For the Japan game on Saturday, March 7, the designated Korean cheering sections will be Third-base outfield F02 and F03.
For the Chinese Taipei game on Sunday, March 8, Third-base infield A38 and A39 sections will be used as official Korean cheering areas.

The cheering squad will be led by a head cheer captain and will include professional cheerleaders currently active in KBO clubs. In addition, the trumpet performances that received strong fan response during the 2025 NAVER K-BASEBALL SERIES Exhibition Games in Japan last November will be expanded for this campaign.

All participants in the away cheering squad will receive a commemorative fan kit, including newly released “KBO x MU:DS National Team” collaboration items—a T-shirt, cheering paper sticks, and a muffler—for use during the games.
